By default Windows XP and previous only recognize up to 137 GB of HD space 
per drive.  Check to make sure you're running SP1 or SP2 and also the 48-bit 
LBA addressing is enabled.

Or if it's a retail drive it should have come with a CD that could enable it 
for you, atleast I would think it would.
