The D300 may have better high ISO. Some of the testers seem to think so. Although, again, I don't know if they're setting noise reduction values in the K20. If they are, they never mention it. I think Adam said he found the D300 noise at high ISO comparable to that of the K20D. The D300 is certainly more expensive and probably a bit better built as a consequence. It doesn't have in-body shake reduction. That would be a stopper for me, as I depend on hand holding a lot with older lenses. In the end I suppose it's mostly a matter of which direction your kit will go. I think it's usually better to settle on one brand, so that you can optimize your lens selection.
