If I ever feel the need, I can pick one up, but for now, I hardly ever want to
tranfer from one
computer to the other one on my network anyway, and on the rare occassion that
I do, it
invariably is some spur of the moment thing when having both machines fired up
isn't a problem.

It does have a built in backup battery, which I presume would keep things
running long enough
for it to make things safe.
My backup solution now is a 500GB mirrored RAID (2x500GB drives) in my
computer, and the Drobo,
which at the moment has 2x750GB drives, and I will toss another one in to add
some more
redundancy.
I wouldn't erase anything from my desktop drives until I have verified the
write to the Drobo.
I'm somewhat confused about how many copies of any particular file is spread
out on the thing.
