Interesting you should post this today. Yesterday while out biking @ a local 
metro park I noticed some similar benches that use to have bronze placques 
memorializing some deceased users. I noticed several of these placques were 
missing. Seems there is a run on scrap metal in the Detroit area (& others 
most likely).
