12 minutes for me @ 10:45am.
All the stories on the media about the long wait for early voting
really hyped the issue.
Ken -
I got to the polling place at 6:15 and wasn't out until 7:30 - Other
friends in Manhattan spent
15 to 30 minutes going in midday.... I would have voted early if one had
that option in NY.
There really were very long lines in New York City... caused mostly by
unpreparedness
on the part of the people working at the polling stations, for one
thing, and the way in which
the ED's were distributed to different locations - or rather, not
changed with the changing
of the type of neighborhood.
People who waited until evening had longer waits - this was from my
personal experience,
friends, shopkeepers, etc... not the media per se
ann
But I heard there were lines later in the day, from all the people who
waited until they got off work before going to vote.
