There is a take up reel in the camera - if the take up reel is the fixed one at the top :-)


I'm not doing this myself -- A student is cleaning my kitchen floor in exchange for a camera that will take 120... in this day of financial distress all over, it seems like a good barter to me .

IIRC, you can bend the film supports on the feed side enough to fit
the reel in, but you'll need a real metal 620 reel on the takeup side.

That's been my experience as well.  There used to a film supplier in
KC who shaved 120 spools without removing the film from them.  These
worked OK until you put them in the take up position.  Check eBay.
You should be able to find those metal 620 spools there.
