That's good news, and it's a departure from some of the earlier demonstrations, such as the one where demonstrators ripped a cross out of the hands of an elderly woman and stomped on it. Perhaps this can all end peacefully. If the issue appears on the ballot again, it will probably go the other way. I suspect that no demonstrations will follow, but the will of the people will be respected.

The anti-prop-8 demonstration I attended yesterday was very peaceful. Not a hint of violence anywhere.. Despite the reason for the demonstration, it was filled with cheerful smiles and positive talk.
