The Mormons aren't fundamentalist radicals. They're Mormons, and we
have to respect their beliefs and their right to express them at the
ballot box and elsewhere. And, yes, Barack Obama has said that he
wants marriage to continue to be defined as a union between a man
and a woman -- as it has been for five thousand years or more. He's
repeated that on numerous occasions. But that's not the issue. The
issue is simply that the people have spoken. Personally, I don't
give a hoot about what's considered "marriage" and what is not. But
I do care about the democratic process, and the right of the people
to decide. It's interesting that the left is very supportive of
democracy until things don't go their way. Then they demonstrate.
And turn to violence.

glimmer of understanding or compassion ... bought the line from the
Yes on H8 crowd hook, line and sinker. You must be truly scared to
lose that which is precious to you. I wonder how you'd feel if you
were told you could not marry the person you love.

And that is exactly what has been suborned in this process, Paul. It
was not a democratic process by the rules of the very government that
we subscribe to.
