It is a very nice lens. Problem with it though is it's massive bulbous front element & the difficulty in using filters with it. In this neck of the woods polarising filters a pretty much a must during the day at this time of year. A mate of mine has the 17-35mm & while a bit soft at the wide end, it's still very usable.
