I agree with Mike on this one. And there are some real bargains among
the M lenses. I'm quite fond of the M 100/2.8, the M 35/2.0, the M 40/
2.8 "pancake lens," the M 50/1.7, the M 135/3.5, the M 200/4. Most of
those, with the exception of the overpriced pancake lens, can be found
for less than $100, and all of them are very sharp and very compact. The
sharpness of the M 200/4 continues to amaze me, and this is a lens that
can usually be had for around $60. It's also one of the most (if not the
most) compact 200s on the planet. For that reason alone, I use it
extensively.
