Well again if you check the test results available at: http://www.tfkp.physik.uni-erlangen.de/~ralf/photo/lenstest2.html you will find that there is not that much difference between the Pentax 50mm lenses WRT sharpness (which is what most of the anecdotal reviews allude to). Also in reality it is really only useful at f1.2 in dark environs ie using the "Sunny 16" rule as applied to 25ISO film you would need a shutter speed in the vicinity of 1/6000 to 1/8000 for a correct exposure. There are only a few Pentax cameras that can even achieve shutter speeds this high. In any case I can well understand that you might have money earmarked for more pertinent purchases however if you like low light shooting and you happen to stumble across one at a good price I am sure that you wouldn't be too disappointed :-) If you would like pointers to plenty of example images then don't hesitate to ask.
