Just a point for the US Pentaxians.

When you send your camera to Colorado, they renew the warranty for another year from the date of repair. If you send your camera in for a CLA or anything as simple as a sensor cleaning, you can keep the warranty going indefinitely.

I'm tempted to, but probably will not, send all four of my K - D cameras in with all my lenses to be factory focused. But I will most likely be selling the K100 and the K10, and in theory I can correct any bad focusing with my K20Ds myself. I've started, but it's not that easy, nor that precise, from what I can tell.

My K10D was already several years old when I sent it in. It only hiccuped on the DA* lenses. I felt the small service charge was justified.

"Several years"? It was announced in the middle of September, 2006. Not sure when it actually became available, however.
