I previously backed up everything to an external hard drive, then did a second backup to DVDs.
The external hard drive was updated daily, the DVDs were updated monthly. Recently, during a rare cleanup effort, I mounted a couple of the old DVDs to check them out. Only one could be read. I don't know if this is because I have a new DVD player or if the disk went bad. The old DVD recorder is long gone so I can't check that out. No loss, because I switched to using dual backups to a pair of Hard drives about a year ago for sheer convenience. I'll likely shred the DVDs to make shelf space. Anyway, no more DVDs for backup. Too much trouble and now I'll always doubt how long they will last. GS On Thu, Jan 1, 2009 at 2:24 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Luiz, > Have you had DVD discs fail?
