Hi Frantisek,

There are always two sides to a discussion :-)

I have owned one of my A50/1.2 lenses for at least 10 years, the other for 4
years and a 50/1.2 for a few years. I have bought and sold many A50/1.4s over
the years (one of these was my first Pentax lenses actually) but I have always
retained a A50/1.2. For someone who shoots a high proportion of shots in low or
near non-existent light the 50/1.2 is less of a _specialised_ tool?

In any case I will look more carefully at my results from the f14 and f1.2
variants (not that I have ever been unhappy with them in print, slide or
4000dpi scans), bear in mind too that the K 50/1.2 suffers more from flare than
the A series lens.

WRT prices there are bargains to be had, over the last 12 months or so I have
seen 50f1.2 lenses sell (on eBay) regularly at around US$200 and specifically
at US$186 and US$91, most Pentax users could afford to pick on up at this price
and test it for a while? :-)
