ClockWorks - Bill Peifer

There have been occasions where I have shown my wife a photo that I
have taken to get her impression and she says "What's that?".
Obviously, since I took the photo, I know exactly what it is. But for
her, she has no idea, because it is an unfamiliar subject. Bill's
"Clockworks" has the same effect on me. Without the title and
explanation, I would really be lost trying to figure out just exactly
what I am looking at. Ironically, my wife know what it was at first
glance before seeing the title.

I have looked at this image for awhile and it is just too abstract
feeling for me. It comes across as more of a study shot while working
with the equipment and lighting and experimenting with the subject. I
must say that the flash worked out pretty well, in not blowing out
those reflective surfaces.
