Berries - William Robb There are some things that work for me here and some things that don't work quite as well.
Things I like - The strong colors - the reds, greens and blues work together to make the berries really stand out. DOF - Good compromise between bringing the berries to our attention but not blurring the background so badly as to not recognize general shapes and patterns. Things I don't like - The subject it too dead center. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but it feels like there should be something else to help accentuate the subject - positioning, size or something. There is a distracting dark vertical object on the right side that I notice too much. All that said, I like the image. It is something that I would enjoy working with. I don't have any ivy or berries around like that. Many times these common items go unnoticed. William has exhibited an awareness of his surroundings that will net him many fine photos.
