I don't understand why they need a 15/4 with a 14/2.8 and the 12-24/4
in the line. Like you, I most wanted the 60-250. However, I would
gladly accept the extra weight of a 2.8 lens. I may go for the Sigma.

I have the 80-320 4-5.6, but I know I need a new zoom in this
range. Having an extra stop, or two, is critical at longer focal
lengths.
I questioned this (to myself at least) when they made public their
plan for this lens. An f2.8 would be nice, but I'd take the f4 for
the smaller size and weight.
For myself, they may as well shelve the 60-250 at this point, I'm so
frustrated with Pentax for the continued delays that I'd likely not
buy one out of spite.
I bet they come up with 3 more unneeded zooms between 24mm and 100mm
before the 60-250 gets released.
Any bets on if the 15/4 and 55/1.4 ever get released?
