Don't know how long it will last, but I just posted a review of this
lens on Adorama's web site, sort of a penicillin injection...

Unfortunately, no one has this lens to review it in real life, other
than a select few who have had the opportunity to shoot with it for a
day or two. Though published, those photos were quickly removed from
online on the insistence of Pentax.
Originally scheduled for a fall 2008 release, then January 2009, then
February, the latest unofficial release date is now second half of 2009.
It would be ill advised to put down $1400 to anyone at this time for
one. Wait until someone is actually shipping the lens before buying it.
