I thought you might. I do have an analog to digital converter, so I
can make DVDs if I can get the 3/4 tape machine.

Get to it, Stenquist! I want a copy! :-) I'll see if I can scan
and post a shot I have of "el chueco" at his MB dealership in BsAs
that my parents got. Apparently, he was a very accessible person
and always met with visitors.

I have a film about Fangio that Mercedes-Benz made many years ago.
He got his start racing on back roads in Argentina in a way that
was reminiscent of the American good old boys. I think the film is
about an hour in length, although I haven't watched it recently.
It's on 3/4-inch tape. One of these days I'm going to buy an old U-
Matic and convert it and some other tapes to DVD.

Jimmy Clark would be my favourite.
I admired Gilles Villeneuve's skill, but considered him to be
more than a little bit reckless - a danger not only to himself
but also to other competitors.

Make mine Senna, Frank, but I liked Gilles very much indeed.
Thanks for the link.

The list is slow today, and I don't start OT threads often, but I
couldn't resist this one. I make a point of watching this every
couple of months, because it's about the best F1 racing you're
ever
going to see and because Gilles is my all time fave. This is
the 10
minute version, but it's worth watching because it's called by
Murray
Walker, who's always fun:

The real racing starts about the 5 minute mark. Enjoy.
Marnie, don't bother. You won't enjoy...
;-)
cheers,
