I suppose the problem I have with the new 15 Limited is the f4 max aperture. I don't know what the image quality is, but you're talking zoom speeds. Is this really preferable to one of the wide Pentax zooms? How much preferable?
I've never been satisfied with f4 aperture lenses...

One normally doesn't use an ultrawide lens to capture shallow DoF scenes. An f/2.8 ultrawide is always going to be expensive and bulky, f/4 is more approachable. A prime wideangle like this will likely have less of the distortions inherent in zoom lenses at the shortest focal length settings.

My best lens of all time was the Zeiss Biogon 38mm f/4.5 fitted to the Hasselblad 903SWC. Ultrawide on that format, superb rendering, sharpness and rectilinear correction. The only film camera I truly miss having.
