You JUST noticed that?

Well, K-m is just the name for the camera in Japan. It's K2000 in the states and elsewhere (I think). The m is supposed to stand for mom, since moms are the primary marketing target that Pentax is going after with the camera, especially in Japan.

K-m for mom? What is the Japanese word for mom. or mother? I don't know. I do know it's not mama-san.

I think that's an incorrect attribution for the m, even though their marketing is skewed that way.

My 2ยข worth of non-sense.
