Right now online backup is for geeks: By definition, people who *know*
that files need to be backed up. Whoever can take that from the land of
geekdom into the mainstream consumer world stands to make a fortune. And
photographs are just the way to do it.
Imagine a TV commercial. Two parents sitting at their computer showing
grandma their little girl's baby photos from years ago. Maybe even with
the girl, much older now, in the scene somewhere. It's raining outside.
Suddenly there's a flash of light and a loud boom and the lights go out
for just a moment. And when the lights come back on the computer is
dead. Panic. "What's happened to all our photos?"
