Jens -
Were I to do this, I would photo something/someone against a black backdrop... then ..

Paste the image onto a transparent background file, click the "magic wand " tool on the background and cut it... Merge "visible" - save file as layers if you dont have the background ready. copy the layer onto the background you want... I can do this in photoshop elements easily... the color of the back drop you start with isnt so important - except
if your models are wearing the same color hehe..

this may not be the slickest way to accomplish this but it gets it done.

Hope this helps

Hello List
Could someone please direct me to knowledge about Greenscreen/Chromakey
techniques?
I need to be able to place people Inin pictures) in front of different
sceneries/backgrounds.
In the old days, photographers used Frontprojection (e.i. by Hensel), but today
this is done digitally, I suppose. Especially in movies and TV, but also in
still photography.

Which software should be used, after shooting the models in front of a proper green screen/blue screen? Are there special issues I need to know befor shooting?

Regards
Jens
