Incredible film.  With Xtol, there wasn't enough grain to focus on
when enlarging.  I had to focus on image features.

Yes, indeed. I have 30-40 rolls of it in the freezer in 135 format and another hundred or so in Minox cassettes. It was without a doubt my favorite film in the Minox ... that tight grain is essential. And its tonal scale is just stunning.

Regards the TMax 400 vs Tri-X debate: I felt the same when I first started using TMax 400. Then I found out how to expose and process it correctly, and it made Tri-X look quaint.
