That was my guess based on more DOF and the better overall sharpness
one would expect at f4.

DA15/4 has arrived and (as it often happens) I have to test it and

a short review.
Haven't had a chance for real shooting yet, but I decided to compare
it
against DA14/2.8 and DA16-50/2.8. Here you can see two comparisons -
ultimate corners and frame centers. I don't say so far the lens order
(moreover - it's different in two images). Can you guess?
