So the much maligned 16-50 is clearly the best, even at 2.8. Unexpected but not totally surprising based on my own experience with the lens.

As a matter of fact, the results surprised me as well.
Actual lens orders (from left to right) are:
Corner shot: 15mm - 16-50mm - 14mm
Center shot: 16-50mm - 15mm - 14mm

I shot three doubles in random order and the results were the same every time. Seems I do have a really good sample of DA*16-50 lens. Both fixes are from our Pentax dealer (DA15 is brand new, DA14 is a rental service lens).

Hi everyone,

DA15/4 has arrived and (as it often happens) I have to test it and write a short review. Haven't had a chance for real shooting yet, but I decided to compare it against DA14/2.8 and DA16-50/2.8. Here you can see two comparisons - ultimate corners and frame centers. I don't say so far the lens order (moreover - it's different in two images). Can you guess?

In the first one, I think the middle looks best and it's a toss-up between the other two (there is some difference between the other two, but not enough to show up in a print, especially after sharpening).

For the second, I think the right-hand shot looks worst and it's a toss-up between the other two.
