I painted the walls and ceiling around my enlarger flat black
for just that reason. Light leakage is a strange thing. A friend
was in the habit of wearing dark cloths to work. One time, he
wore a white T-shir, and spent the entire day trying to figure
out why his work wasn't consistent from print to print. The
shirt was reflecting light back to the print material during
exposure, but sometimes, he wasn't spending the exposure time in
front of the enlarger, and sometimes he was.
