Just how slow can it be? Slower than an FA prime? When I initially tried my first SDM lens I thought it was slow, until I realised I hadn't enough pressure on the shutter release to activate AF on the odd occasion Doh!

The spelling is correct if you are going that way. Anyway, I did the update and discovered, much to my lack of surprise, that the AF speed on the DA55/1.4 is no faster than it was prior to the upgrade.
