Could it be defective? Both of my DA* lenses focus faster than my FA
50/1.4 or FA 35/2. Maybe you should talk to Pentax.
I suppose it's possible I got a bad lens, though one would hope that for
what they are charging for these things they will be a little slice of
perfection in every box.
I haven't heard of anyone with this lens say it is fast focusing though.
