I'll have to give it a try. I wonder if they have a profile for the
2400?
I'm not equipped to make my own.
I'd be willing to bet you could eyeball a profile with little trouble.
As long as you have the software to create ICC profiles you can indeed
do it that way.
I just save them as a paper profile in the printer driver.
Am I missing something?
I dunno. Depends on your printer driver, I suppose. Whether it's
saving a batch of proprietary settings or generating a true ICC
profile. Save one and then go look in
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color and see if a new .icc file
shows up there.
Of course, what works, works. But it's often nice to know what's going
on behind the scenes.
The Epson control interface allows you to save a "profile" for a
particular paper but it does not appear anywhere as a *.ICC file. Under
the colour management tab, you can (in manual colour control) add new
profiles and the add button brings up the list of *.ICC files in
C:\Windows\........\color so I assume that you can add a file to that
directory and then use it by choosing it from the add dialogue.
