Holy cow, this used-glass thing is a fascinating sub-sub-sub-culture.
I was particularly charmed by a K-mount Tokina SL400 400mm f5.6 going
suspiciously cheap on EBay, from the UK.  The URL was three lines long
so I'm not gonna cut&paste it in here.

The Super-Takumar 300 (no SMC) is *definitely* the most common thing
out there, as many of them as everything else put together.   One of
those would probably meet my needs.

I had to resist the temptation to pull the trigger several times; that
*can't* be a good thing to do on the day you first discover new
territory... -T
