I tried to get away from Windows but haven't quite managed it yet. Nowadays I have XP in a Virtualbox instance on my Macbook Pro. I use it primarily for Notepad++, SmartFTP and TortoiseSVN.
I also use it for IE testing, using MultipleIEs which allows me to go right back to version 3.0.
