Ten weeks work, about six in and should be fully watertight and tiled completely by next weekend. Conversion of chalet bungalow to house - and then putting a loft conversion over the top. Horrendous to live through (but delighted with builders and progress) as in a normal loft conversion, it's about four weeks until they break through from above into the house to put the stairs in. In our case, in the first week we lost the entire roof and ceilings etc above two rooms and the staircase on one side of the house, to enable them to be built into full height rooms and extend the staircase up another floor over the existing. The large loft room dormer frame is now up and fitting out begins next week as well.
