Hi Bob,
You can turn off the K20D's dust removal shake at startup. It's in the
menus.

Bong,
1. Yes, but I still like the *ist DS smaller size.
2. Agreed, quiet and silky is an appropriate description.
3. Seems faster. (Set for lo speed multi exp's vs hi before)
4. Write speed is as good or better than the K20. I don't remember
vs the K10.
It could be the larger image files.
5. I haven't noticed any changes with SR but will examine the issue.
The main thing is no more of the awful shake noise at start up (dust
removal).
I'm sure the K20 will shake itself apart.
Regards, Bob S.

Just got a chance to shoot with a friend's K-7 with my FA77 Limited:

Initial impressions (on the K-7):
1. I like the size: I find the *ist DS small and the K10D big (I have
smallish hands). This one fits nicely.
2. It's quiet: silky compared to the K10D's scandalously loud
shutter.
3, It's fast: have not read on it but I hear it has a faster fps
rate.
but...is it me or...?
4. I find the buffer slow: maybe writing a 14mp RAW file takes longer
than 10mp but on the same SD card I found it slow.
5. While shooting at my threshold of 1/20 I lost more to camera shake
than I would with the K10D; is it because the different size/weight
needs getting used to or is there something I do not know about its
SR?
