Do you think it's okay for Epson to drop support for a printer that
could have been purchased just 18 months ago? I've had mine for quite
a few years, but a reputable company doesn't stop supporting a printer
as soon as they stop selling it. What's worse, Epson claims that their
latest driver works with snow leopard and the 2400, and their web site
indicates that it does. Apple techs told me that it doesn't. My own
tests confirm that. And, yes, my move to 10.6 is just a test. I can
revert to system 10.5, but it's annoying.
I agree that Epson printers deliver the best results, but I'm not
happy with their support policy.

The problem with that attitude is that Epson still has the best inks,
and the widest selection of papers. The R2400 is now pretty long in
the tooth, out of production for over a year and a half.
