Perhaps this could be the answer. I have the FA 35mm. 2.0 , and an F 50 mm. 1.7 and M 50 mm. 1.4 The FA 35 is a small lens in size, but big in performance. In short: it is sharp, it has got neutral colour rendition and its flare resistance is second to none. It is an excellent wide angle lens for low light work, ambient photography or landscape. Both the FA 50 1.4 and 1.7 are said to be excellent. The F 50 1.7 I have is the same optically speaking than the FA version, and it is excellent. But, if I were going to buy a 50 mm., and didn't mind to spend some more money, would go for the 1.4 My advice is that you should think carefully which focal length will be more useful for you, and make up your mind afterwards. It would be nice if somebody could lend you for some time a 50 mm. and a 35 mm. to see which one is more useful for your photography. Once said that, the lenses I use the most lately, in the wide angle zone, are the FA 24 mm. 2.0 and the FA 35 mm.
