Dear List Members,

I want to buy a new standard lens for my MZ-5N (so far I only on some
simple zooms). As the smallest apperture of my zooms is 4, I am looking
for a standard lens with a smaller apperture for available light
photography.

There are three possible lenses: SMC FA 1,4/50, SMC FA 1,7/50 and SMC FA
2,0/35. Regarding the 50s I would prefer the 1,7/50, as I don't think
that the 1,4 is much better for me (but more expensive...). But I really
like the 35mm focal length and 2,0 seems to be a sufficient small
apperture. Unfortunately I couldn't find much information on this lens -
seems to be quite new.

Can you give me some hints? Has anyone compared these lenses (I already
know Stan's great lens database, Photozone and Photodo)? I'm really
interested in your personal experiences and opinions.

Regards,

Heiko
