Hi Heiko, with the 35mm, you can handhold slightly longer shutter speeds successfully, so effectively, you can get to as low light level as with the 50/1.4, even if it is 1 stop less bright; Personally, I would buy the 2/35, than in future add a secondhand manualfocus 1.7/50 which is quite cheap. The 50mm is plenty easy to focus manually, and I still think that photography without a normal prime is well, missing something. And the 1.7 manualfocus versions are really cheap compared to 1.4, losing only half stop speed. Well, if I had the money, I would probably get 2/24 AND 1.4/50, as they complement each other nicely in my opinion. Good light, Frantisek Vlcek - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
