with Apple's take that they cannot/should not/need not assume
financial responsibility for other people's unhealthy habits, OTOH it
is not like people started smoking yesterday and there never was such
an issue before so one might also argue that they had time enough to
develop - or add for that matter, since they exist - proper filters to
keep out the floating smoke particles... I think it is more of a
reflection on the lack of free lunches in the free world that
manufacturers who are constantly under price pressure have to recover
the discounts elsewhere
