With all the rumblings about the new D-FA 100 WR not being a lens anyone
wanted, I've been wondering:

What is your dream lens that does not yet exist in the current Pentax
lineup?

Rules for this question:
 - Realistic lenses only. No 5000mm 2.8 Macro WR Super-SR SDM APO
Aspherical ED Extra-Crispy Tilt-Shift Low-Calorie Triple-SMC lens with
24 aperture blades, a cherry on top and a pack animal to carry it
around.
 - Describe just one dream lens. No "I can't decide between an 8mm f/68
pinhole and a 76.4mm f/1.2 macro." One lens only.
 - Explain why Pentax really ought to make this lens.

OK, just one lens. Not a dream toy, just a ultimate tool:
SMC Pentax 32mm F1,7 AL IF SDM WR.
I don't care much about f/1.4 aperture. Even f/2 would do fine - it wouldn't be portrait lens anyway (i.e very large apertures are not much needed) and cameras are getting better year to year (lower high ISO noise, better viewfinders, faster focus). So, very large aperture would make the lens simply more expensive and heavier. 49mm filter size, please. If possible, it could focus from about 0.2m. Usual Pentax lenses around 30mm "start" from 30cm and sometimes it's a BIT too far for me.

But of course I would also need GOOD 1.4...1.5 x weatherproof SDM/screw TC. It's not a lens, it's a converter, so hopefully I can make an additional wish :)

BR, Margus
