To the contrary: If Pentax doesn't have a FF camera for the APS-C users to trade up to (or fantasize about trading up to) pretty soon, they're going to be in biiiig trouble. The people at Pentax *are* aware of this.
The APS-C user, if he or she is using APS-C lenses, is going to have to buy not only a new camera body, but a new lens line as well. Personally, I find the idea of fantasizing about a 39mp medium format camera far more enticing than fantasizing about another 6 megapixels in a slightly larger sensor.
