I've had a Sony Trintron TV from about 1994, that I gave away about a year ago. It just stopped working. I also have a Sony Mavica floppy disk camera, still works AFAIK. Currently have a Sony 42" LCD TV, has worked perfectly for the last 6 months.
So I'm not anti-Sony... BUT... Sony is typically not my 1st choice or the brand I look at first. After consideration, and comparing, I may go with Sony. Televisions seem to be an easier decision than other product lines.
