IIRC there was a spate of news not /that/ long ago about tablet computers. Basically a small laptop with a reversible screen that could be closed with the screen exposed to be used as a notepad with a special stilus. There was supposed to be a special version of windows for it as well. All the iPad seems to be is a tablet PC without the keyboard, limited available software and less expansion. True the least expensive iPad is less than half the price of least expensive Tablet PC I know about but still, it seems that there's a lot of hype here.
"Windows for Tablet PC" came out about the same time frame as Apple introduced the Newton ... or was that the fig?
