The plates are titanium - they don't trouble the metal detectors. I hope
it's comfortable for her. Mine wasn't, and one of the screws started to work
loose so I had the plate removed after a year. One of the screws snapped on
the way out, so part of it has been left in, but I wouldn't know if they
hadn't told me. I was damned glad to get the plate out.
