She'll get used to it. My wife has a stainless steel & tungsten knee
(and, later on this year, will be getting a second one). She has a
form she shows the TSA folks.

On another note - she can also relate to getting the best surgeons.
The first time she had to go to the emergency room for something it
just so happened that the head of surgery at the hospital was on
duty, covering for one of his assistants. So from that point on
if my wife had to go in for anything involving surgery the admitting
staff noticed the name on the record, and called in the top guns
(even, in one case, dragging him in off the golf course). We used
to laugh about this - it turned out that the doctor lived next door
to some friends of ours, and we met him socially on several occasions.
