For a pro-level camera a manufacturer needs a pro-level service. They
had this pro-level service for decades until last year when Hoya decided
they'd make more profit by outsourcing it.

You simply can't sell someone a 8000 euro camera and then ask him or her
to wait for weeks or even months when it needs to be repared.
