I agree. I have all these great film cameras and a great selection of
lenses that I love to use. I also have two good scanners that do a
decent job. But, scanning is slow and cloning out dust spots is
tedious. Not to mention the cost of buying and processing a roll of
slide film...especially here in Canada. It's not really worth $20 or
more when you keep only a few shots per roll. Since I got the K20d
three months ago my film usage has fallen off. I'm afraid that the
K20d will be the final nail in my film coffin.

I feel your pain. We have largely gone to a digital world and that
means that less and less film is being used. Less and less attention
is being paid to it by the labs. You want to do it good, you have to
do it yourself. I have been scanning for the past week or two with
my Minolta Scan Dual II and do not enjoy it. I am so done with film.
