Most people don't realize that the C5 and later models are significantly different from the trash GM was peddling as a Vette in the 70's and 80's (and frankly, even those can be turned into nice cars, they just don't start out that way). I suspect it's because the cosmetics on the C5/C6 are so similar to the C4. The modern Corvette is one hell of a performance car, in a bland sleeperish body. -- M.
