Thanks Mike. Another question: Obviously a VCCE head is convenient. Is it
superior to gel filters below the lens in terms of image quality? I've
considered the possibility of putting gel filters behind the diffusion
glass on my ancient Omega cold light head. It's accessible. Would this be
better than gels below the lens? I've been using gels below the lens ever
since I went to cold light, but it bugs me. I figure why worry about lens
resolution if you're going to put a cheap gel filter below it.
