The K7 is a superb camera. The metering is exceptionally good, far better than the K20D and probably quite a bit better then the Kx as well. Since low light performance isn't a priority for you -- that's where the Kx shines -- the K7 would probably be a good choice. In addition to the excellent metering, the K7 will allow you to keep shooting, since the buffer is much ore substantial. And don't forget the weather resistant sealing. You won't get that with the Kx.
